Waters have receded but our camp must stay alert. Throughout the week, any hard rains may trigger some other flooding but thankfully, besides some trees and stone, nothing catastrophic happened.
Thank you to all the people who helped each other move carts and cars and secure each other's property.
Thank you to all the people who helped me set barriers and block some roadways.
Thanks to security for helping jump from scene to scene and keep me and members updated of changing situations.
We tried to help anyone who immediately needed help, then secure anything that may need secured, block what needed blocked for safety, then get the entire campground notified and updated.
Great job by all involved!
Update:
As of 10:50pm, water has receded to the entrance of the trails. It has receded back 6 feet down road on Candy on lower B.
Original Post:
Slippery Rock has currently been affected by flooding leading to roads being shut down outside of the campground. With the rain having calmed down, most of these roads are open currently. The campground itself is experiencing mild flooding so be alert if you live closer to the creek. The flooding is currently affecting the end of Candy as well as water flooding the woods by the creek. The water has not been rising, however, and the electric remains on. If this changes, a new update will be sent.
